The most awaited Marathi movie of the year 2016, Sairat starts its promotions by taking blessings of the Mahalaxmi goddess of Kolhapur. After blockbuster hits like Katyar Kaljat Ghusali and Natsamrat, Zee Studios is all set to bring a story of impossible love Sairat, to be released on April 29 across the state.
Nargraj Manjule, a national award winner director, who revitalized Marathi cinema with his debut movie Fandry, said this time he has moved on to a love story, which explains why his cinema is concerned with inequality.
“I want to tell a story of innocent, passionate yet impossible love through Sairat. They say love knows no region, no boundaries, no distance. It is above caste, class and religion. Love. It’s the most universal and beautiful feeling in the world.” But how far would you go for love? And that’s what all about Zee Studio’s upcoming movie Sairat depicts, Nagaraj said in a statement.
Both the leading actors were present for the promotions. Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, play lead roles of Archi and Prasha respectively in the movie. Rinku had already bagged a Special Mention Award (feature film) for Sairat in 63rd national Film awards in New Delhi last month. This movie has become the first Indian film to record symphonic orchestra at Sony studios at Hollywood.
Sairat has been showcased at the prestigious 66th Berlin International Film festival (Berlinale) in generation 14plus section movies made for teenagers, produced by Nittin Keni and Nikhil Sane of Zee Studios and story-screenplay and dialogue by director Nagraj Manjule.
Music and background score composed by talented Ajay-Atul is already a hit in all generations of viewers. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the cinematic marvel to hit theatres on 29 April 2016.
